FAQs

  • I am physically located in Greenlawn, NY, but because I work virtually, I can see patients anywhere in New York. I see people from Buffalo to Staten Island and everywhere in between.

  • Right now, no but we understand that some people prefer in person one on one sessions so we are working on finding a space in western Suffolk county available in the Fall 2025.

  • We do not accept any other insurances, EAPs, Medicaid, or Medicare. We do provide a superbill for those who have other insurances and would like to submit for out-of-network reimbursement.

  • Bloom and Balance is a self-pay practice. We are happy to provide an itemized receipt with appropriate billing information if you wish to file for any out-of-network insurance benefits.

For self-pay visits, hour long intakes are $400, standard follow ups are $200.  More information about each of those services is provided below.

    Initial Assessment & Consultation (60 minutes) $400

During your first visit, we’ll take the time to understand your unique concerns—whether related to hormone changes, libido, mental health, or weight management. Together, we’ll review your medical and mental health history and clarify your goals. From there, we’ll discuss treatment options which could include a combination of medication, labs, counseling and even lifestyle modification. With that information, we will collaboratively create a plan that feels good to you.

Initial Teen Health and Support Session (30 minutes) $250

This visit includes a confidential, age-appropriate discussion with both the teen and their parent(s)/guardian(s) to review reproductive health, contraception options, and safe sex practices. We’ll cover topics such as puberty, self-breast exam, STI prevention, birth control methods, consent, and healthy relationships. The goal is to provide accurate information, support open communication, and empower the teen to make informed, responsible choices.

Time will be set aside to speak with the teen privately, in accordance with state confidentiality laws, to ensure a safe and supportive space for questions and concerns. The goal is to provide a resource for your teen to have a provider they can connect with and have access to answer any questions that come up.

Standard Follow Up Visits (30 minutes) $200

We will discuss any updates in your life, your symptoms, and your medications. Then we’ll set a plan to help you feel better. I do not offer 15-minute visits as I feel at least 30 minutes are needed to provide thorough and comprehensive personalized care.

Other Clinical Services $150- established patients only

This 15-minute virtual or in-person visit is for established patients who need care for a specific issue—such as a UTI, yeast infection, or other acute concern—while traveling or in between routine appointments. We’ll address your symptoms and, if appropriate, provide a prescription.

  • Yes!

    • Medications: We electronically order your prescriptions through your insurance to a cost-effective pharmacy, such as CVS or Walgreens.

    • Labs and Imaging: For labs, bloodwork, swabs, or imaging, we refer you to a convenient local facility, like LabCorp or Quest, that accepts your insurance or offers affordable self-pay options.

The total cost of your medication will depend on your insurance coverage, or any self-pay discounts or coupons applied.

I really like goodrx for discounts. http://www.goodrx.com

  • For healthcare services without using your insurance or without having insurance, you have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any health care or services upon request or when scheduling such services. This includes related costs like appointment visits, medical tests, prescription drugs, equipment, or other fees.

Make sure your healthcare provider gives you a Good Faith Estimate in writing at least 1 business day before your medical service. You can also ask for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule.

If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill.

For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises or call 800-985-3059.

  • Missed appointments will be charged a $50 fee.

  • No, but we do screen for bipolar at many of our visits. If you are looking for treatment of bipolar, we can refer you to other mental health providers that do.

  • Click on this Link and request an appointment. Next, complete the intake forms that will be emailed to your inbox. Intake forms need to be completed 48 hours prior to our first visit. Otherwise, the appointment will be canceled, and you will need to reschedule.

For your safety, try and find a time and place where you feel your privacy is protected. Therefore, we do not recommend that you are with others during your virtual appointment or participating in activities that may distract you, such as driving.

  • Item descriptWe will spend about an hour together discussing the details of your current concerns, medical and mental health history, reviewing your lifestyle and physical health, and developing a plan to help you feel better.

We will collaboratively decide upon a treatment plan, and I’ll answer any questions you may have.  ion

  • The frequency of visits is variable. It depends on things like how you’re currently feeling, your specific diagnosis, and what medications you’re taking. Some patients who are really struggling may meet weekly, while other patients who are very stable may only need to be seen every three months. Ultimately, I value the importance of ongoing care and communication. To ensure that this is happening, all patients need to be seen at least once every six months for follow up appointments.
We’ll discuss the timing of your next visit at the end of each appointment, and your input is welcome in that discussion.

  • Nope — you’ll still see your OB-GYN for regular checkups and routine care. I’m here to support you alongside them, and we’ll work together to make sure you’re fully cared for.
